Sound Boxes
Sound boxes: tap one box for each sound, then put a letter in each box to spell the word.

Sound Boxes at a glance.
Sound boxes (Elkonin boxes) for early reading and spelling. The student sees a word's picture and hears it, then taps one box for each sound, saying it as the box says it: m-u-d. Then they put the letters in the boxes, one letter for each sound, and hear the whole word again. Practice by vowel (short a, e, i, o, u) and with blends (frog, jump). Sounds only turns the letters off: the student says each sound and you score it. Words are spelled one letter per sound, so every box is one sound and one letter. Each student's lists and options are saved.
