The activity library

80 activities. Each one its own world.

A detective’s case board for “why” questions, a ski slope for he and she, a coral reef for matching /r/ words, a lily pond for syllables. Every activity is built around one skill and the age it suits, with its own characters, rewards and settings for each student.

21 activities have a brand-new look in 2026, across every area. These are 8 of them.

Find the right activity in seconds

Search by skill, or filter by area, language and grade. Each activity’s Learn more shows a short video, the goals and standards it fits, and the other activities that share them.

The activity picker: search, filters and the activities grouped into seven areas
In the session

Run a group of four without missing a beat.

Tap a student’s face to give them the turn. Each one keeps their own board, sound and settings, and every answer is saved the moment you score it.

  • Up to 4 students at once, each with their own targets and place in the activity.
  • Score with one tap, or with the C, A and W keys: correct, approximate, wrong.
  • Goals at a glance during the session: baseline, target and level of support.
  • Video models of the words, a mirror camera and a voice recorder for articulation. Recordings stay on your device.
  • Built-in tools: a disfluency counter that saves the % disfluent, a stopwatch and dice.
  • Works at the table and online: on an iPad, Chromebook or computer, or share the tab for teletherapy.
A group session of Guess What: the riddle, the open box with the word Blocks, and Leo K., Maya L. and Ava P. in the student bar with their C, A and W buttons
New: reports built around each activity

Every session ends with a report that thinks like an SLP.

Accuracy is only the start. The redesigned activities save what the student chose, not just whether it was right, so the report can show the pattern behind the misses and what to do next.

The Baker to Be report: Was or were? Is or are?
A progress-note sentenceWritten from the session, ready to copy into your notes.
Words to come back toThe items missed today, with their pictures, plus a next step.
Standards at their gradeThe Common Core standards the activity targets, matched to the student’s grade.
Share it your wayCopy the summary, keep it on the Notes tab, or download a PDF or a spreadsheet.
The end of a Syllable Splash report: what the misses show, a sentence for a progress note with a Copy button, and the words to come back to

Over time, too

Each report also shows every session of that activity together: a trend line, how each part is going, the items missed more than once, and a suggested next step, like adding three-syllable words or one more choice. Built for 13 activities so far, with more on the way.

Progress and goals

Progress you can bring to the IEP meeting.

Every activity adds up on the student’s progress page, by area and by goal, so you can see what’s working and show it in a minute.

  • Goals that show their own progress: baseline, now and target, with “now” from the activities linked to the goal.
  • “Target met” appears when recent accuracy reaches the target, and you mark the goal mastered.
  • Skill shape: strengths, emerging skills and needs, next to where they were 6 weeks before.
  • “At a glance”, a summary written for your progress notes.
  • A PDF progress report with a signature line, and a spreadsheet of every activity.
  • A goal bank of 1,200+ ready-made goals, including 220 new ones for areas like executive functioning, behavior and adaptive skills.

Home practice Professional Plus

Practice that keeps going at home.

Give each student their own login, choose what they practice and for how long, and see the minutes they played on their progress page.

  • Student logins without an email address: a username and an easy password, or scan the QR code on a printed card.
  • Home practice plans: pick the activities, the minutes and how often, by day, week or month.
  • Students see only what you assigned, with their own avatar and the minutes they’ve practiced.
  • Families in the loop: email the login to a parent or caregiver, and send them messages.
  • You hear when it’s done, and home sessions are marked on the progress page.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. Smarty Ears Online runs in your web browser, best in Chrome or Safari, on a computer, a Chromebook or an iPad. For teletherapy you share the browser tab in Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet.

How does the free trial work?

Basic Professional monthly starts with 30 days free, then it’s $29 a month. You use your own students, with every activity, the scoring and the progress reports. See how the trial works.

How many students can I have?

Up to 100 students on your caseload, on every plan. In a session you can play with up to 4 at once.

Can my students practice at home?

Yes, with Professional Plus or Enterprise Plus. Each student gets a login (no email needed) and a QR login card, you choose the activities and minutes, and the time they practice shows on their progress page.

What do the reports show?

Every activity saves each answer as you go. The progress page shows accuracy by area and by goal over time, a summary to copy into your notes and a PDF report. 13 activities also have a report built around how they’re played, with the patterns behind the misses, a progress-note sentence and ideas for home.

Is there a plan for schools and districts?

Yes. Enterprise Plus is for 3 or more educators: share students across the team, an organization goal bank, an admin account, and invoices or purchase orders. Get a quote in a couple of minutes.

Try it with your own students this week.

Add a student, run a session and watch the report build itself. Basic Professional is free for 30 days.
