Questions about features
Do I need to install anything?
No. Smarty Ears Online runs in your web browser, best in Chrome or Safari on a computer. In teletherapy you share the browser tab in Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet.
How is accuracy worked out?
You score each try with C (correct), A (approximate) or W (wrong), on screen or with your keyboard. In activities where the student picks an answer, the pick is scored for you. Correct and approximate answers count toward accuracy.
Can I share progress with families and schools?
Yes. Every student’s progress page downloads as a PDF progress report, and the summary can be copied straight into your notes. The speech sound profile has its own Share button.
Which features need Professional Plus?
Student logins, printable login cards and home practice plans come with Professional Plus and Enterprise Plus. Everything else on this page is on every plan. Compare the plans.
Can I share a student with my SLPA or a teacher?
Yes, with Enterprise Plus. The student’s owner shares them with people on the team and chooses what each person can see and do: goals, progress, notes, the student login, editing and deleting. Organization admins see clinicians’ notes only when they’re added to the student.
Do students need an email address to log in?
No. You set up a student’s login in one click. Students type a username and password, or scan the QR code on their login card. You can also email the login to a parent or caregiver.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Basic Professional monthly starts with 30 days free, with your own students, data tracking and progress reports.
